Finding a proof is not owning a BURGER. A proof only becomes a BURGER when the contract accepts it and the payment settles. If someone else's proof lands first, yours is void. A submitted transaction that reverts can still cost network gas.
A price rise never silently authorizes a larger payment: every submission carries the maximum you agreed to.

Two transactions: a bounded approval for exactly the cost, then the recruit. Never an unlimited approval. If the mint fails the burn fails with it, so BUNS cannot disappear without a BURGER arriving.
Keep a BURGER tradable, or put it to work permanently so it earns BUNS. A working BURGER keeps its artwork, identity, roster history, owner, and rent rights, but it can never be transferred again. No Auto-Shift licence is needed to earn or claim BUNS.

Working BURGERS earn BUNS with or without Auto-Shift. Work Only records a no-compounding policy and leaves BUNS unspent. Auto-Compound lets the worker burn accrued or deposited BUNS, pay the authorized recruitment fee, mint the new BURGER to you, and optionally license and enroll it. No automatic selling, BUNS purchases, or rent spending is included.
Putting a BURGER to work is permanent. It can never be transferred, even after Auto-Shift is stopped or its policy expires. This option is off until you select it, and the site asks again before funding or signing the policy.
Select licensed working BURGERS from your crew. Deposits and token approvals are wallet transactions. The final policy authorization is an EIP-712 signature, and the pinned worker submits it without receiving your wallet key.
